We represented a variety of magazines, including Modern Photography, Los Angeles Magazine, McCalls Needlework & Crafts, Compute! Publications.

An enormous amount of print and broadcast publicity was generated on behalf of these and other ABC publications. Just two examples:

For Modern Photography Magazine, we convinced the producers of The Today Show that the editor of the magazine could bring the latest assortment of new, unusual cameras into the studio, and display each one, demonstrating interesting or unusual features. We even arranged in advance for one of Today's cameramen to tie NBC's camera into the view from the latest camcorder, so that the viewing audience would experience this view for themselves. A successful segment that generated excellent exposure for the magazine.

For McCalls Needlework & Crafts, in examining one of their recent issues, we noticed a story about the winners of a national contest for dolls made by needlework. We again convinced The Today Show that we could deluge their set with dozens of lavish, colorful dolls, and bring the first prize winner (and her doll) into the studio for an interview with Jane Pauley, along with the editor-in-chief of McCalls. A long, successful segment that reaped positive results for the magazine.

For this client, we were also interested in generating meaningful corporate publicity for its then-president, Robert Burton. One of the highlights here was the successful placement of a full-page story on Mr. Burton and ABC Publishing in the Sunday business section of The New York Times.
